The Accidental Vampire - Lyndsay Sands

BURN this book if its in your library. Hell, you should be very ashamed for even having it...god knows I am. This book had so much potential, but ultimately it is a bonafide DUD! The writing is juvenile, the story lacks any imagination and for god sakes...who the hell edited this book! The main male character's name is Victor, but too many times (for my taste) in this book he's referred to as Vincent. If I caught it, how the hell didn't the editor who probably read this horrid book more times than anyone should. Hell, it could be taken as punishment, torture even for having to read it.

The story: the main chic was turned accidentally. She lives in the same town she's been in all of her life. The townsfolk know she's a vamp and she spends her first five years following what is written in Bram Stokers: Dracula. Then some male vamps show up after an ad is put into a local paper about a female vamp looking for a mate. Yes folks, that's the basic plot. Stupid and boring are the best words I can come up with...no I can also say that it SUCKS!!!

The female vamp dragging the males to an A&P goes on wayyyyyyyyy too long, them all baking pies is ridiculous and my personal favorite, her neighbors are out to kill her because she said five years ago that she wanted to die. It took them five years to come up with a plan to kill her.

I swear to you a child could write a more imaginative and intriguing story. I'm dumbfounded that this rubbish is part of a series. A FREAKING SERIES! UGH! This is pure junk so don't waste a moment of your life reading it. I hate the fact that I'll never get back those hours I spent with this crap!

Tanner's Scheme - Lora Leigh

What can I say about Tanner's Scheme that won't be a gush fest for yet another wonderful read from my favorite author, Lora Leigh? This is another story in the Breed series and it doesn't disappoint. Tanner, a Bengal breed is sexy as a mutha and Scheme, his mate makes him burn like no other woman could.

It was so damn hot I had to take care of things several times just to be able to get through the dang book. There is no other author like Lora Leigh. The woman is in a league of her own. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy the strong, dominate male character who will do anything to have the woman he desires. Tanner is just as uber sexy as the other Breed males. He wants what he wants and will not take no for an answer...like a good DOM male should. His masculinity will make you gush and hope that there are still males like him out in the universe.

I fully recommend this book for any Lora Leigh fan, but especially those that may not have read any of her books before. Tanner's Scheme is a wonderful addition to the Breed series although it can also be a stand alone story. Don't wait chica's...RUN to read this book!!!

Leashed: More Than A Bargain by Jet Mykles

This is the first book I've read by Jet. I'm in lust with her hot sexy photos on her site so I expected nothing less when I purchased the book. I read it on a plane and unfortunately I wasn't impressed. Maybe I'm too hardcore, too twisted to appreciate her style of writing and the story, but this book left me wanting sooooooooo much more heat and sex. It's about a threesome (a witch and two bisexual shifters). Trust me, I expected these men to be super masculine and rough with one another, but that's not what's in there.

From the way the story began I felt like there was a whole other story between Meg and the witch Roland that seemed disjointed especially since the rest of the book was giving the reader peeks into what their connection was. I dunno, I just wasn't taken by the story and although I truly enjoy Jet's pics I'm not sure if I'm ready to purchase another book.
